am finally back for updates.however, there’s no baking updates yet but a few food reviews…
this is a must-visit place for those who love mushrooms!!this place serves all kind of mushrooms and there are really a lot that i never see before.it’s a steamboat buffet style but there’s ala-carte for you to choose from.
just a few pictures of the food…was busy eating and forgotten to snap more.there’s 2 long list of items for you to choose from.a mixture of meat, vege, mushrooms and even noodles/fried rice that you can keep ordering from.
our favourites would include:
the thin slice of beef (bro and kx’s fav)
chicken paste with mushroom (my mum loves it)
fresh prawn ball (my fav)
mix mushrooms (everyone’s fav)
fried man tou (i like)
the thick tasty soup!
chili
yes!!i loveee their chili.it goes with all the food there.spicy and nicee.haha.if only they sell it,i’ll surely buy it home!
great place to go to enjoy healthy food at a reasonable price…the only downside is the not very friendly locations.overall,we enjoyed our lunch and will surely be back with my grandmum…

this will be a purely pictures based food review…
just some little information about this place…it’s a very small place located at orchard.read about good reviews from online forum and since the two of us love japanese food and sushi,we decided to try their buffet lunch.they serve mainly sushi and in buffet style.buffet style meant that you get to order unlimited amount of sushi BUT there will only be one serving of sashimi.a bit sad but the sushi is delicious as well.you would not regret it.at least we did not!!
the pricing isnt cheap though.weekday lunch is $29+ and weekday dinner is $39+.if you are thinking of popping over during holidays or weekends,it’ll be another $10 on top of the normal weekday price.after eating the sushi from this place, you would think twice about eating at sakae sushi.
the quality of the food is worth the price you are paying.the sashimi is fresh!the service is great too.i love the owner cum chef there.super kawaii and friendly.haha..if only i can take a picture with him.
there is a loyalty card given to you on your first time there.you have to accumulate 6 stamps and your next buffet will just be $10.super worth it but the validity of the card is only 3 months.we are planning to dine there once a month.save all the money from dining at other japanese places and attack sushi!

surprisingly, the two of us did not felt extremely bloated after the 1 hour+ lunch.do not have to fear the rice.haha…
there are still many pictures of the sushi we tried but lazy to convert the picture format.even with all this sushi,we have not ate every single one on the menu yet.expect to see us there sometime next week.we are dying for our sushi dosage
=)
first stepped into Tao’s restaurant 2 years back,i believe…my family and i were attracted to its reasonable price and the menu.after the first meal,we were hooked and were a frequent visitor of the place.the standard of food i still the same.fantastic and worth every single penny!
they offer only set courses…a six course meal for lunch cost only $19.80+ and a seven course meal for dinner is around $29.90+.however,you can choose what you wish to have.
there is only 1 choice for the starter and it’s bacon and mushroom gratin with toasted bread.
i really really love this.hehe…
moving on…it’s salad time.there are many different salads for you to choose from
we had the fruits salad and farm boy splendor
the extra course that is only available during dinner is the grilled mushroom and sorbet
not a big fan of the mushroom as the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking
this was followed by soup.again, there are many different soups for you to choose from
we ordered mushroom and pumpkin soup
now,it’s time for the main entrees
we had grilled chicken, roasted steak and grilled snapper
my fav is the chicken…will try the prawn or the flounder the next round
desert time!by this time, all of us were very full but we still got to hang on
my all time fav creme brulee, chocolate fondue and greentea cake
the final course to wrap everything up…drinks!haha…
we had grassjelly mint tea,ice rose tea and ice summer peach tea
am feeling a little hungry after seeing all the pictures =x
do go visit Tao’s if you are looking for set courses at a reasonable price
